Etchings - Large Cod and Lace

Recently, I’ve been exploring etching as a way to weave together my fishing heritage and textile traditions. Using copper plates, I manipulate ink to create fluid, organic shapes that echo the movement of the sea. I then hand-draw intricate lace patterns, inspired by Shetland knitwear, directly onto the plates—merging the delicate artistry of textiles with the bold, tactile qualities of printmaking.
